93 points Ned Goodwin

Ned Goodwin, Halliday Wine Companion

“A different fork on the same road, this more generous wine, a ‘gris'. All the better for it. Plump and reliant on a billow of phenolics as guiding pillars for a flow of Asian pear, baked apple, quince, honeysuckle and cinnamon spice, as much as its gentler acidity for freshness. Balanced, intense of flavour and long. This is impressive and dangerously easy to drink.”

Viticulture

Viticulture

A good year for Pinot Gris on the Peninsula. Periods of rain around flowering meant that yields were lower than average but nonetheless the quality was excellent. A burst of warm weather in late February pushed along ripening and low disease pressure meant we could take our time making picking decisions.
